About Ivy Ngo
Ivy Phuong Ngo was born on May 5th,1976, in Ho Chi Minh City or also known as Saigon, Vietnam. At the age of 7, her immediate family made their successful escape out of the country, first landing in Malaysia before finding their way to the US. While she may have been young leaving Vietnam, the impacts of the war still reverberate today. Her Family eventually settled in Orange County, California (similar to many other refugees), where she still resides. Although the transition was difficult with the help of the local Vietnamese community her family was able to build a life they have dreamt of. Now she is a teacher at one of the best elementary schools in OC and a mother. In her free time Ivy enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and traveling.
